On Wednesday 10th of November, Burundians gathered at Expo 2020 Dubai to celebrate their National Day with the world, at the magnificent Al Wasl Square. Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates met with the President of the Republic of Burundi Pavilion, His Excellency, Evariste Ndayishimiye - exchanging two Memorandums of Understanding that the two nations reached, one on Economic Cooperation and the other on the promotion of cooperation.
The Executive Director of the Office of the Commissioner General of Expo 2020 Dubai, Najeeb Mohammed Al-Ali said, “under the theme ‘Philosophy of Giving and Receiving’, Burundi highlights the exchanges that are required on a regional and international level towards achieving sustainable development,”
“We firmly believe that East Africa, the fastest-growing economic district on the African continent, offers tremendous opportunities for business communities in the UAE and the region” he concluded.
President Ndayishimiye expressed the importance of facilitating friendly relations with the African community and the world in general, promoting unity, respect and love.
The Republic of Burundi Pavilion showcases some of its greatest marvels, unique cultural traditions and its welcoming and hardworking people, with the aim of attracting tourists, business partners and investors, with a chance to sample one of the world’s best coffee and honey. It is found in the Opportunity District.
