Eswatini dazzles in celebrating its Expo 2020 National Day

The Kingdom of Eswatini put on a show of cultural exhibition accompanied by song and dance as it celebrated its National Day at Expo 2020 Dubai. The day was commemorated on October 12th, 2021 with dignitaries that included His Excellency, Prime Minister Cleopas Dlamini who were all received by His Excellency, Najeeb Al Ali, the Executive Director, Commissioner General Office, Expo 2020 Dubai.

His Excellency, Prime Minister Dlamini, representing His Majesty King Mswati III, was accompanied by an official delegation that included ministers Thulisile Dladla, Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation; Moses Vilakati, Minister for Tourism and Environmental Affairs; Chief Ndlaluhlaza Ndwandwe, Minister Of Public Works and Transport; and Harries Bulunga, Minister for Sports and Culture.

Prime Minister Dlamini expressed gratitude on behalf of the people of Eswatini for such a great opportunity to showcase all that the Kingdom has to offer the world.

“We are so grateful to be here to represent the Kingdom of Eswatini, and to attend this special event to put our country in the picture - the picture of trade, the picture of tourism and the picture of politics,”

“And we very much welcome the opportunity that the UAE has opened up, not just for Eswatini but for all African countries. Africa in interested in doing business, and our continent needs to grow, and to do that we need Expo” he remarked.

The Prime Minister went on to emphasise that Eswatini is open for business as he rounded off his key note address.

On the day, Eswatini also hosted a Business Briefing that detailed the nation’s commercial opportunities, infront of a packed Expo Business Connect Centre.

The occasion was marked by vibrant festivities and the Eswatini Arts and Culture team showcased their best dance moves. A great and engaging event that allowed visitors the opportunity to learn much about the culture and traditions of the people of Eswatini.
