League of Arab States celebrate Honour Day at Expo 2020 Dubai

The League of Arab States united to celebrate their Honour Day at Expo 2020 Dubai, a celebration that took place on the 20th of December 2021 in the magnificence of the Al Wasl dome. The honour day coincidentally fell on the League of Arab States’ 75th anniversary.

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) Minister of State of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, His Excellency Khalifa Shaheen Almarar welcomed all dignitaries as he spoke about the importance of the collaboration of all the Arab States. Pointing to the history, relationships, values and common frameworks that unite the people.

“The Arab countries provide a strong and supportive foundation for building more partnerships and constructive cooperation for the benefit of our countries. The pavilion serves a model to show the world our capabilities and collaboration to realize our ambitions in building a better future.” he remarked.

The Secretary General of the League of Arab States, His Excellency Ahmed Aboul Gheit reflected with great fondness of the Expo’s host nation.

“The United Arab Emirates will remain a home of giving and love, a country of achievement and distinction, a bridge of communication and convergence and an address of tolerance and brotherhood. He also talked about the League of Arab Emirates being the first regional organization established in our modern times with the aim of investing in civilization, as well as cultural and historical agreements between the Arabs, from the ocean to the Gulf.

At sunset, the Arab Women Awards for Excellence in the Medical Field were held, a cooperative event held joint with the UAE General Women’s Union Pavilion.

The Arab Academy of Science, Technology and Maritime Transport entertained the audience with memorable musical numbers.

At the Opportunity District, the League of Arab States pavilion answers the all-important question of ‘How will the Arab world achieve its full potential?’ Taking visitors on a Journey through seven decades of Arab achievement and come together to find the ‘keys’ to an integrated and prosperous Arab nation.
