Central African Republic National Day Expo Dubai 2020

The Central African Republic national day was celebrated on Monday 13th of December 2021, the Commissioner General of Expo 2020 Dubai, His Excellency Sheikh Nahayan Mubarak Al Nahayan welcomed the President of the Central African Republic, His Excellency Fautin-Archange Touadera and other dignitaries. The guests were entertained with cultural performances, a traditional Mondele group dance and glamour.

His Excellency, Touadera gave a speech emphasising the commitment of his country towards the preservation of the ecosystem in the Congo basin.

His Excellency went on to add “the government has been firmly instructed to lead the country in an open, transparent, inclusive spirit within a framework of dialogue where all Central Africans will make their contribution”.

The country has embarked on a journey of using technology to combat deforestation as well as protecting its wildlife.

His Excellency, Sheikh Nahayan Mubarak spoke about how much the United Arab Emirates values the Central African Republic’s participation in the Expo. He said, “the Central African Republic pavilion showcases the country’s national and economic priorities whilst also highlighting key areas in its journey towards development and growth. The pavilion sheds light on the country’s perspective in relation to the interdependence between humans, technology and nature”.

Part of its national day celebrations included hosting the ‘Forum Economique’, an event showcasing all the business and investment opportunities available in the Central African Republic.

The Central African Republic’s pavilion is found at the Sustainability District, showcasing the embodiment of symbiosis between humans and nature, technology and nature, and relations between humans, through a showcase of know-how around the issue of environmental protection.
