Algeria National Day Expo 2020 Dubai

On Sunday 14th of November, the Algeria National Day was celebrated at the Expo Dubai 2020 in the famous Al Wasl Square, several dignitaries were present at the event. The Algerian Prime Minister, Ayman Abdel Rahman and the Commissioner General of the Algerian Pavilion, Maher Al Attar graced the event.

The Prime Minister shared his excitement that his country was participating in the Expo, he mentioned that the slogan of the Expo “Connecting Minds, Creating the Future” truly reflects the correct view of the challenges facing the world today.

Najib Mohammed Al-Ali, the Executive Director of the office of the Commissioner General of Expo 2020 Dubai in his words said “Algeria’s participation offers everyone the opportunity to learn about the development progress made by the country in various fields and an opportunity to see the journey of the country from the dawn of history in our time, highlighting the human side that elevates the hopes, aspirations and ideas of its people to platforms of success”.

There were artistic as well as musical performances that showcased the rich culture of the people of Algeria and its ancestral identity. Visitors at the Algeria pavilion enjoyed an exceptional time travel, from the cradle of mankind in Ain Bouchrit, displaying the goals of energy transition and smart cities.

The Algerian Pavilion - found in the Mobility District - will take you on a voyage through the rich heritage of Algeria. In a Casbah inspired structure, you are invited to go on a 'rihla', a journey to discover Algeria's sights, sounds, people, history and future aspirations.
